The Seventh Annual CypressFest

Austin, TX - October 10, 2013

The seventh annual CypressFest took place October 10th, bringing together more than 200 customers, employees and vendors along with their families and friends - everyone who makes up the Cypress Industries community. Live music provided entertainment for the adults, while a bounce house kept the kids happy and busy. The band, BADD Medizine, was a huge hit, and a few of our customers joined them on stage to demonstrate their guitar skills. Carnival games made the event feel like a hometown festival, and this year’s door prizes included a flat screen TV, iPads and tickets to Austin City Limits Music Festival. We also auctioned off a gun safe, donating the winning bid to the Wounded Warrior Foundation. Everyone feasted on homemade barbecue from Pit Smokers, accompanied by plenty of the finest beans and potato salad.

We showed some of the projects we’ve been working on this year and conducted tours of the Cypress Industries Austin facility, to give new customers an idea of what we do and to show our long-term customers the new technological capabilities we apply to their projects. As President Matt Conkey put it, "It's easy to forget that there are great people on the other side of a phone or email conversation. But when we bring everyone together like this, we’re all reminded of the importance of these connections, and how grateful we are for the people that make Cypress Industries a success."
